Fall Harvest Farms in central Indiana!

As the crisp autumn breeze sweeps through the heartland, it's time to celebrate the

bountiful fall harvest season in the nine counties surrounding Indianapolis. From pumpkin patches to apple orchards and challenging corn mazes, central Indiana offers an array of delightful experiences for families and friends as we relish the fall weather.



While exploring the best locations for pumpkins, apples, and mazes, I realize I haven't covered everything, but have tried to give it a fair shake! I focused here on permanent locations and farms (more than festivals and goings-on).


Marion County:

  1. Dammann's Garden Center (Indianapolis) - Pumpkin patch, hayrides and flower arranging

  2. Waterman's Family Farm (Indianapolis) - Pumpkin patch and corn maze


Hamilton County:

  1. Spencer Farm (Noblesville) - Pumpkin patch and family-friendly u-pick

  2. Stuckey Farms (Sheridan) - Pumpkin picking, apple orchard, and corn maze.

  3. Russell Farms Pumpkin Patch (Noblesville) - Pumpkin patch and SOOO much more (admission required)

Hendricks County:

  1. Beasley's Orchard (Danville) - Apple picking, apple cider, and corn maze.

  2. Hogan Farms (Brownsburg) - Pumpkin patch and challenging corn maze.

  3. Nehemiah Ranch (Avon)- Hayrides, Hotdogs, S’mores, Hot Chocolate and Pumpkins

Boone County:

  1. WiseWood Farms (Lebanon) - Pumpkins, hayrides, horse rides and more

  2. Traders Point Creamery (Zionsville) - Pumpkin patch and family-friendly corn maze.

  3. Dulls Tree Farm (Thorntown) - Pumpkins, pumpkin decorating, face painting and much more (admission charged)

Johnson County:

  1. Kelsay Farms (Whiteland) - Corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, corn crib, Moo Choo, pumpkins and much more

  2. The Apple Works (Trafalgar) - Apples, market, fall activities and so much more (website is old - updates on facebook)

Shelby County:

  1. Pleasant View Orchards (Fairland) - Apple picking, apple cider donuts, pumpkin patch and corn maze

  2. Meltzer Farm (Shelbyville) - Pumpkins!

Morgan County:

  1. Anderson Orchard (Mooresville) - Apple picking, apple cider, and corn maze

  2. Hunters Honey Farm (Martinsville) - All things honey and fall

  3. Walker's Homestead (Martinsville) - Little Red Barn Market

  1. Piney Acres Farm (Fortville) - Pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals and evening flashlight maze adventures

  2. Tuttle Orchards (Greenfield) - Apple picking, cider, corn maze and more

Madison County:

  1. Smith Family Farms (Pendleton) - Pumpkin patch and corn maze

  2. Green Top Farms (Anderson) - Pumpkin punkininess

  3. Hodge Family Farm (Alexandria) - Pumpkin patch and hayrides.

Memorable locations outside the doughnut include:

  1. Exploration Acres (Lafayette) - Indiana's largest corn maze, pumpkin patch, and various family activities.

  2. Fair Oaks Farms (Fair Oaks) - Destination location for all things farm and fall.

  3. Hobson's Farm (Rockville) - Pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayrides.

  4. Covered Bridge Festival (various locations) - worth the trip! Patience needed with traffic and crowds.

These locations offer a diverse range of fall harvest activities, ensuring that you can enjoy the best of the season in each of these beautiful counties around Indianapolis. Whether you're in search of the perfect pumpkin, freshly picked apples, or an exciting corn maze adventure, you're sure to find it in these areas.
