You're here because you have or are close to making a decision to sell your home. This may involve a move for work, upsizing, downsizing, or a number of reasons and factors.

 

First things first, make sure you understand your motivations and expectations. Don't have any? Here are a few things to think about.

Before deciding to sell:

​

  • Find a great agent. (You already have - you're here on my site!) Seriously, a knowledgeable agent will help you navigate through the whole process and you're paying them to do so. So, utilize their expertise to your benefit.

​

  • Have a meeting of the minds. All parties to the decision should be on board and part of the process. This is tough to unravel later on!

​

  • Be aware of the process. This means once you've listed, your home must be ready to show - always. And, you'll need to decide about open houses, social media, and more. (Again, I'll step you through this when we meet.)

​

  • Make a list of the things that are great about where you live. Not just the house or neighborhood but the greater area too.

​

  • Make a list of the things you believe need to be done to ready the house (but wait, don't do anything until we talk about it! Some changes are not worth the money you'll spend.)

​

  • Financially, be ready to pay some closing costs, ready to potentially make some repairs. And, be ready to make the move on your next home. 

​

 Selling, now what:

​

  • Once you've decided to sell, we'll meet and talk about price, preparations, documents, and marketing. We'll also discuss timelines and the entire process from start to finish.

​

  • A Listing Agreement will be executed and then I'll do what I do best! Get your home listing out to as many potential buyers as I can using as many tools and resources as I can. I'll arrange for professional photography. I'll also have a professional staging company give you helpful advise and options for preparing your home.

​

  • You'll want to be careful with your social media during this time to protect your home and family. I often advise clients to tighten up permissions during the home-buying and selling process. I encourage clients to "go private" for the duration. 

​

  • There may be work to be done on your house: painting, window washing, repairs, yardwork and clean up. There may also be more significant items to address. The use of a pre-inspection, stager, professional home cleaner and/or organizer may be helpful.​

  • Behind the scenes, I'll prepare documents, orchestrate various contracted expectations  (photographers, stagers, etc.)

  • I'll work my agent network along with utilizing 50 plus websites that publish your selling information. Brokers open houses, open houses, private showings, video tours, brochures, flyers, and all related marketing pieces are all handled by me and my excellent staff.

I have a solid plan, resources, method, and insight to give you. I plan on getting to know you well and will stay in touch long after the closing table!
